The Harken HighTailer 1500 lb Capstan Hoist Winch is a field utility winch system designed for lifting and lowering materials in all applications using synthetic fiber rope. The Harken HighTailer is a revolutionary capstan hoist that is mounted vertically and provides more speed and power than traditional capstan hoists of the same size. The vertical mounting stops the user from having to stand behind the capstan during use. Featuring two settings - high and low - you can customize your working load and lifting rate based on what you are lifting. In low mode lift up to 650 lbs at a rate of 43 feet/min. Need more capacity? No problem. Switch to high mode and lift up to 1,500 pounds at 18 feet/min. Compatible with a range of synthetic fiber rope sizes - you can utilize 1/2" to 5/8" (12.5 mm - 16 mm) lifting rope. The innovative rope capture (rope lock system) is internal, capped, and spring-loaded. This eliminates the opportunity for the rope to slip off the end of the drum and allows the rope lock to wrap 360 degrees around the capstan. The compact size offers easier transportation and the winch with the bracket weighs in at only 56 lbs. The Harken HighTailer is designed to attach to the included hitch mount horizontally and includes a pigtail line drive, a foot mount, and a block. The recommended output is 4,000 Watts or higher.
